*FIT stands for Financial Intervention Therapy
The therapeutic stance of therapy is meeting where the client is at, being non-judgmental, and with positive regard for the client, among other attributes. When money is given in this manner for an obvious need, there is a change in the client's perception of safety in the world, possiblities become envisioned with the cessation of a formerly insurmountable problem. The net effect is an intra-personalization of need for autonomy to grow.
