23. Case history of one Philanthropist

Here is a man, a business owner, who spoke about the motivations and successes he had in giving money to his employees. What was impressive was that his business community was usually helped by his charity. Morale was improved, a worker went to higher education and returned to improve the business, and, the humanity of the individual was integral to every decision. There were no guarantees that good would come out of his generosity, but enough good apparently occurred to encourage him to continue to give money to his employees in need and to adopt the philosophy that "man does not live by bread alone."
